Cartoon Drawing Tips

Learning to draw cartoon people and characters is an art people wrongly believe cannot be mastered by all. In this ArtHearty post, you will not only learn some simple cartoon drawing tips, but also realize how easy it all can be.
While creating a personal collection,
study professionally draw cartoons from newspapers, comic books, animated sitcoms, and movies. However, do not copy or tweak them and claim it to be original work.
With only a few lines and details, anyone can create a world where an imagination can come to life. We see cartoons on television and in magazines, newspapers, movies, and comic books, where artists use a variety of expressions and emotions to reveal a world we love to be lost in.
If you too wish to create a world of your own, there are some basic techniques that can help you in achieving your goal. Go through the following illustrations to find just how easy drawing cartoons can be.
Illustration 1
Grab a few pencils, a black ink pen, paper, and an eraser before you begin. Initially, it will take you some time to get the hang of it, but do keep going. If you make any mistakes, erase it and start over.
Boy Drawing Step 1
With a pencil, draw a simple circle. The shape doesn't have to be perfect.

For the body, draw a horizontal line below the circle and another arched line slightly below it. Also, draw two additional arched lines to complete the frame of the body.

To draw the legs and complete the frame, draw another arched line underneath the first one along with two parallel lines on either side.

Starting slightly from inside the body, we will draw arms and hands for the character. Extend them as long or short as you like.

Now with a pen, trace the character's outline. Make sure you do this step very carefully as you won't be able to erase any errors at this point.

Let the ink dry for a few minutes and then, using an eraser, remove the extra pencil lines. You can finish the drawing by coloring the character.

Just as you finished drawing the cartoon from the above illustration, follow the exact guidelines here as well. Take your time while drawing the cartoon, and it'll all fall into place.
